Popularly known as the house of witches, is one of the most singular and unique buildings of Alicante. With an art nouveau style, it was constructed in 1898 by the architect Enrique Sánchez Sedeño, a pioneer of iron constructions in Spain.
While it retains the classic structural layout, it was provided in 1911 with a tower, topped with a sharp sloping roof, reminiscent of Nordic gothicism. The interior has experienced contemporary decorative additions, and the facades exterior is highlighted by the vegetable ornaments typically of ART NOUVEAU.
It currently houses the head office Presidency of the Generalitat Valenciana of Alicante.
