The museum of Alicante offers a runback through history of the city. Located in the castle of Santa Bárbara, where it has been rehabilitated and prepared for 10 permanent exhibition halls.
Visitors can contemplate arquelogical materials found from various historical eras and arquelogical sites of the city. The audiovisual sections demonstrate how they lived in Alicante among other important historical events from prehistory to the current day.
Additionally, numerous exhibits detail the links between Alicante and the Mediterranean and some of the most illustrative figures that have walked through the city. Included are various armour reproductions, banners and flags, among many other items.
